"Tribute to Andrés Segovia" - Recital by Carlotta Doalia, first prize winner at the international competitions of Uppsala, Hong Kong, Miami, Madrid and Niccolò Paganini in Parma.
Born in Tuscany in 1999, guitarist Carlotta Dalia commands attention with her passionate and profound performances, driven by a rounded and powerful sound. Since her first solo concert at the age of twelve, she has won over 40 national and international competitions, including first prizes in Uppsala, Hong Kong, Miami, and Madrid, as well as the International Niccolò Paganini Competition in Parma.
She is now a regular guest on concert stages around the world - tours have taken her to Italy, Spain, Germany, Austria, Portugal, Poland, Hungary, Sweden, Russia, Ireland, Japan, Latvia, the Netherlands, various South American countries, China and Switzerland.
Carlotta Dalia began playing guitar at the age of eight and graduated with honors in 2017 from the renowned Accademia Chigiana in Siena, where she studied with Oscar Ghiglia. She completed her postgraduate studies at the Mozarteum Salzburg in 2022 and has been a D'Addario Artist since 2016. She is supported by Classically Connected, Inc. in New York and the Adopt a Musician Foundation in Lugano, which also kindly loaned her the 1939 Hermann Hauser guitar played by Andrès Segovia. Carlotta Dalia teaches at the Mantua Conservatory.
