Bravades de la Saint Maur

Friday, May 9 – Opening of the festivities

At 6:00 p.m. , the guard of honor departs from the war memorial on rue Jean Jaurès to welcome the town captain, the flag bearer and Father Martin de Bovis.

At 6:15 p.m. , taking of command and presentation of the coat of arms in front of the war memorial, rue Jean Jaurès, followed by a small parade in town.

At 7:30 p.m. , the parade starts in the village.

At 9:30 p.m. , the Bravades corps gathers and distributes lanterns to children at the war memorial, rue Jean Jaurès, then the parade sets off for Place Victor Hugo for the lighting of the pine tree, with a farandole from the folk group l'Escandihado and Escolo dou Rigaù.

Saturday, May 10 – Parades and serenades

At 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. , departure from the war memorial, rue Jean Jaurès, for the Oustaou Bruno Delphin and parade in town.

Where to see them pass:

In the morning: Boulevard Michelet, Rue Carnot, Rue Jean Jaurès, Place Victor Hugo, Avenue S. Coulet, Rue du 8 mai 1945 and Avenue Georges Clemenceau.

In the afternoon: parade in the village: rue E. Quinet, place Bellevue, Diderot, de la Résistance, Marceau, Hoche, Jean Jaurès and May 8, 1945 streets.

Sunday, May 11 – Votive Procession

At 9:30 a.m. , departure from the war memorial, rue Jean Jaurès, laying of a wreath by the Bravadeurs, then parade through town to the Saint-Sauveur church.

At 10:00 a.m. , solemn mass of Saint-Maur in the Saint-Sauveur church, followed by a votive procession in the village.

At 12:00 p.m. , a salute of honor was given to Saint-Maur by the Bravadeurs, the authorities and the population, followed by an aperitif offered by the municipality on the esplanade of La Chapelle Saint-Roch.

At 4:00 p.m. , departure for the retirement home and parade through the village before the Saint returns to the Saint-Sauveur church.
